The inadequacies of the UK electric car charging network were underlined by the festive holiday getaway, with queues of vehicles waiting for up to three hours for Tesla superchargers. 

HERE Technologies, a location data and technology platform, is rolling out a new service that predicts the likelihood of an EV public chargepoint being available in the future.

ChargePoint Holdings, Mercedes-Benz and MN8 Energy, a major US solar, stationary power and renewable energy providers, have announced plans to rapidly expand the availability of DC fast charging with the development of over 400 charging hubs across the US and Canada.

EV charging infrastructure needs to be "ahead of the curve" to support the rapidly increasing numbers of EVs on the roads, according to the chair of Ford of Britain.
