Rowan Atkinson weighs in on EVs and infrastructure

Rowan Atkinson, aka Mr Bean and an early adopter of electric vehicles, has weighed in to the debate on the uptake of EVs in an article in The Guardian widely shared across the media.

His standpoint is ‘not yet’ and he envisages a future with an evolved fuel and charging infrastructure, using a range of different fuel sources. This will include lighter cars with much smaller sodium-ion batteries than the heavy and bulky lithium-ion batteries that currently proliferate.
