Moto is the UK’s largest motorway service area business, serving more than 120 million visitors every year across 69 UK sites. In recent years, the company has focused on expanding electric vehicle charging bays across its sites. Currently, it has over 600 high-power charging facilities, with 75% of its motorway service areas having at least six ultra-rapid charging bays, making it a preferred stopover for EV drivers.

A survey of families who visited Moto Hospitality sites rated their overall experience, parking, and restroom facilities highly. Visitors were particularly impressed with the family-friendly environment, cleanliness, and variety of facilities. Netmums members commented that Moto is “a great pit stop to let the kids stretch their legs and enjoy a break,” describing the sites as “spacious, bright and welcoming for all of the family.” Others simply said they were the “best services I’ve been to as a family.”

The positive feedback extended to Moto’s website, which many found easy to use for planning trips. One respondent praised it as “really easy to use,” with another saying it was “clear… with good information” and easy navigation.

“At Moto, we are committed to transforming the rest stop experience,” said Ken McMeikan, CEO of Moto Hospitality. “Whether you are in search of a family-friendly, stress-free place to stop on your way to a holiday or a reliable rest stop during a work trip, we pride ourselves on catering for everyone.”

There are 2,300 miles of UK motorway and 611 HPC charging bays on Moto’s network which equates to one charging bay for every 3.8 miles of motorway in the UK.
