Kempower has been active in Germany for several years and has supported the electrification of bus depots and truck infrastructure in the country. The company has also delivered DC charging solutions for electric machines including Berlin’s electric cleaning vehicle fleet. After the successful qualification of Eichrecht certification in late summer 2023, Kempower is now certified to provide charging technology for public charging stations.

The location in Kleve has a total capacity of up to 400 kW and four Kempower Satellites with a single connection cable so EV drivers can charge their cars quickly and continue their journey.

“Kempower’s charging solutions are unique in efficiency and slim physical size,” said Lars Kuster, managing director of Kuster Energy. “We are pleased to be the first public charging station in Germany to provide Kempower’s first-class DC charging experience to EV drivers. This station will certainly not be the last.”
