The new chargers are capable of up to 350kW and are powered entirely from net zero carbon energy, located across some of the UK’s busiest roads. All chargers feature both CCS and CHAdeMO connectors, accept contactless payment and provide real-time status updates to a myriad of popular EV charging maps.

Reading is one of the four new locations commissioned by Gridserve in January.
After an exceptional year in 2022, Gridserve has now installed 173 High Power chargers across 16 Electric Super Hubs and two Electric Forecourts. There are now chargers installed in 169 locations across the Gridserve Electric Highway, delivering over 10 million EV miles to the UK’s electric vehicles every month.
There are plenty of attention grabbers in the US government’s massive EV charging and infrastructure programme, announced on February 15.
There are the dollars – US$7.5bn in EV charging, US$10bn in clean transportation, and over US$7bn in EV battery components, critical minerals, and materials.
There is the network – a goal of 500,000 EV chargers by 2030.
And there is access; the announcement included news that 7,500 Tesla stations will be open to all vehicles in 2024.
