The new facility will serve as a training centre for installers or partners that are already IRVE (Infrastructure de Recharge pour Véhicules Électriques) certified to combat the scarcity of adequate training opportunities. Canéjan follows the recent opening of another EVBox training facility in Essen, Germany.

The opening of the training facility in France takes full account of two French government decrees enacted on 27 October 2021 which underline the obligation and importance of training courses that contribute to the service quality commitments of charging stations open to the public. Additionally, it is essential to offer the necessary services for partners and installers to upkeep their charging stations to facilitate warranty services. Finally, a well-trained and educated partner or installer acts as a guarantee for the charging station's prolonged lifespan and ensures durability.

Training sessions will provide all the technical specifications, theoretical and practical knowledge of the installation, commissioning, and allow the participants to apply their practical skills in front of a real charging station. However, training places will only be available to installers already IRVE certified.  The training sessions will be available in multiple languages and the facility will have the capacity to train close to 600 installers a year. Canéjan serves as EVBox’s dedicated after-sales facility, thus being the ideal place to offer training sessions, while Bordeaux houses the factory and corporate office.
