This move aims to provide reliable, at-home charging for thousands of US residents. The demand for EV charging in multifamily housing is growing, with 31% of US housing being multifamily buildings, yet fewer than 5% of rental communities currently offer chargers. Since most EV charging happens at home, accessible charging at these locations is crucial.

Aubrey Gunnels, CEO of 3V Infrastructure, points to the challenge property owners face in building and maintaining EV infrastructure, a process that is complex and costly. He says the partnership with Camden will help address this by providing charging stations at no cost to the property owner.

3V Infrastructure will install, own, and maintain Level 2 charging stations at Camden communities. The first installations will be in Austin, Charlotte, Phoenix, and various California locations, with plans for nationwide expansion. Loop Global will provide the hardware and software for the initial phase.
