Power Out: The EV Charging Challenge

Moto Services is taking on the EV power challenge! They've added 16 new ultra-rapid Tesla chargers in Sussex, though activation is delayed until September 9 due to power constraints. CEO Ken McMeikan warns of a twelvefold increase in EV charging demand by 2030, calling for coordinated efforts to address the power supply issue. With 27-33% of UK cars going electric, they'll need 240 megawatts - like a quarter of a nuclear power station. The Department for Transport's ZEV mandate targets 100% emission-free vehicles by 2035.
